Ark Housing is delighted to announce its shortlisting for four categories at the prestigious Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) All Ireland Housing Awards.
The CIH All Ireland Awards recognize excellence and innovation within the housing sector, celebrating the dedication and achievements of housing professionals across the island of Ireland.
Ark Housing has been shortlisted for the following categories:
- Best Housing Development: Quarry Heights – This "Housing for All" scheme in Newtownards has delivered 23 high-quality new build apartments and houses to the local community. The "Housing for All" program is supported by the Department for Communities and the NI Executive's Shared Housing programme.
- Working in Partnership: Ards Advisory Group – This award recognizes the successful collaboration between Ark Housing and community groups in Ards. The Ards Advisory Group ensures community voices are heard and represented in local housing projects and activities.
- Professionalism in the Workplace: Ark Housing – This nomination reflects Ark Housing's commitment to investing in staff development through ongoing training and professional development opportunities across all departments, including Housing, Homeless Services, and Property Services. This commitment ensures we can continually improve service delivery and fulfil our mission of delivering quality homes and building strong communities.
- Housing Professional of the Year: Lily Winton – Development Officer Lily Winton, who recently completed her Masters in Planning and joined the Board of WISH (Women in Social Housing), has been nominated for this Housing Professional of the Year. Lily's focus on environmental development and community consultation will be invaluable as Ark Housing continues its ambitious development program.
We are honoured that Laura O Dowd, Ark Housing's Director of Housing and Customer Services will be hosting this year's CIH Awards ceremony.
